I always look at it like this Art is like Homemade Pizza. You gotta learn how to work the oven then you can gather the ingredients and learn different methods on how to improve that pizza and make it taste good to how you want it. AI art is like if you were to order each of the basic ingredients for a pizza or just order one from a restaurant. You know how to work the oven. You don't know how to make the Pizza from scratch, though. You don't even know what half of the stuff to make the Pizzas is or where it's from. All you know is you gotta put 'em in the oven and it'll come out ready-made. However, for some reason, you still wanna call that Pizza homemade, but... it isn't. You didn't make it you just assembled it or you ordered it. That's the difference. Assembling something together isn't the same as making it from scratch. Just like commissioning an artist to make art doesn't mean you yourself are an artist by default. You didn't make anything you had something/someone else do it for you.
