This sounds like an accurate prediction except - who is buying the products the companies make if unemployment is so high? Many companies will be screwed. The ones that survive will be serving the wealthy who are making their fortunes from the AI-driven stock market.
At some point, Americans will vote for candidates who will revise the capitalist system to funnel enough of that wealth to the citizenry for them to survive, and if they are frustrated in that goal, it's time for another revolution.
And yeah America is the world's oldest current democracy, not the longest-lived democracy of all time. America's government was based on the democracy champion, the Iroquois Confederacy, founded around the year 1500, which you could argue still exists, just not as an independent political entity. In any case, it lasted a good 300 years before Americans supplanted it with their own democracy. Both are longer-lived than Athenian democracy at 200 years.
