This kind of exploitation sadly happened a lot long before AI. People were asking for commissions and ghosting after getting a preview sketch because photoshop could erase watermarks with relative ease. Worst of all was all the “bold, young entrepreneurs” that popped up to sell you on their fake clout to trick you into an internship of grueling slave-labor for “valuable experience”
