You know, to a point "AI art is a tool" is ... legit-ish. If I'm stuck on something and I throw something out as a prompt, a "what could this look like," it might help - like a sketchbook. But those sketches aren't put out as "My Great Art." The flip side of that is... those times being stuck, those "what if I make a mistake, I'll ruin the piece" or whatnot - I'm pretty sure it was Bob Ross's thing that there are "no mistakes, just happy accidents," and the process of making those mistakes, of "ugh, those colors look awful together" that get used later or inspire something else... they're part of the process of art, and something AI (and likely most of the - can we just call them prompters instead of artists?) just won't ever really "get."
