That's not how generative AI works, though. The cool thing about it is that it's not just copying and mashing. It's not even deterministic a lot of the time, since the most common algorithm for image generation is Stable Diffusion, which starts with an image of pure noise (old TV static, basically) and then it it removes noise in iterative ways until it thinks the image is completed, but because it starts with random noise, same prompts offer different outputs.
Artists get a lot of things wrong about generative AI content too, and I wish it could be talked about rationally
