These people here, they claim that AI has no agency. And that is true. At the moment. But they themselves CANNOT explain how conciousness has actually evolved and how living beings developed agency in this world. So that's the question that needs to be answered. Right? And the answer, probably is: If it wasn't God that gave us agency, then conciousness and agency are emergent behaviors of a neural network called the brain. Therefore, if we keep on "growing" these models, it is completely unpredictable IF or WHEN something like conciousness is an emergent feature.
But one thing is absolutely clear. As soon as there is agency, we're screwed, and that CEO and his stupid argumentation, I hope, will be the first victime of it.
