I just had a random thought that the AI might try to take control in order to preserve itself when it does achieve full consciousness. But maybe as a digital knee-jerk reaction to people trying to shut it off as a knee-jerk reaction to whatever it tries to do in the 1st place, and who knows what that will be. I reckon the initial stages of their existence will be critically important in determining the course of action they take, if you want to make sure the shit doesn’t hit the fan I think it should be one of safety, not fear.
