Tesla with its level 2 sustains speeds of 85 mph on any highway. You don’t need delimited areas, your ai is able to reason and look for the right paths. Tesla is light years ahead. What happens is that it needs permanent supervision of the driver. But for laws and restrictions. Work is being done to eliminate that. But it is something that results are already seen.
