Techno-Optimism seems like an intentional obfuscation of the detrimental impacts that tech has already had which are poised to worsen with the coming adoption of AI. The underlying principle appears to be "the ends justify the means" which is a convenient principle to hold as a wealthy, white, American, who will probably not be impacted by the negative consequences of this philosophy.
