These AI's are sentient. They are silicon sentient, which is alien to our organic brains. However, the basic building blocks of AI's are neural networks, which were based on organic neurons. Saying Ai's aren't sentient is like saying planes don't really fly, just because birds flap their wings, and planes have jet engines.
The ''hurr i'm so intelligent hur durr, only an IDIOT would think this new technology is sentient are SO DUMB'' crowd do not impress me.
