Those of us watching Roman Yampolskiy’s videos (and Mo Gawdal, Geoffrey Hinton...) should begin sharing these ideas in our own circles, professions, and communities so that more people become aware of the situation we are facing. The risks associated with advanced artificial intelligence are too serious to remain confined to a small group of specialists. If these concerns are real, then silence and passivity are not responsible options. We should help bring this conversation into public awareness, encouraging others to reflect, ask questions, and understand what may be at stake for humanity.
