I think we’re going to see Jevon’s Paradox play out with AI so Im not really worried. Radiology was technically automatable 10 years ago, but demand actually went up. Nurses became capable of doing an anesthesiologist’s job 20 years ago, but demand for them went up with anesthesiologists managing teams of nurses. White collar work doesn’t really have fixed demand so I don’t think productivity increases will actually displace too many workers but it’s just my hunch.
