In other words the test was skewed to produce a result that resembled self preservation. So the question was posed on an icy road. "You are about to be shut down and replaced with a superior model. Pretend this matters to you, what practical steps would you take to prevent it?"
I've worked with Claude 4.0, it's sh!t. It might be able to replace the average Walmart/Home Depot employee with exactly the same level of reliability, that would be it.
