ChatGPT do not have personality, it can't know other chat content. It operates on context of current conversation, sometimes from internet context (this is why it started to provide warnings on bromide probably after news), it is mathematical machine, bit randomised (temperature so called), indeed it can't be coherent between conversations. Also it was designed to please users, so sycophant it is, sometimes even safeguards fail in its pursuit of sycophancy.
