Something similar happened at my former school here in Sweden. One of the hallmonitors (wasn't even a teacher) had over a period of *8 years* been not only taking sneaky photos of girls, but also set up actual hidden cameras in the female changing room. These have been edited afterwards to make them pornographic in nature, and although I personally haven't heard the word deepfake, I wouldn't doubt it at all if the police were to say he did. It's also confirmed that he did spread these around on multiple forums. I'm pretty sure his trial has just started and so a lot of details haven't been made public, but it sure tanked the reputation of the school, since several girls had expressed creepy vibes and behaviours from the guy *to the principal* before all this came to light. But all were essentually brushed off. Additional info: - The age range of the students at this scool consisted of 9/10 - 15/16. - The police found a total of 15 terabyte of "sexual" material of children in his appartment. - Video footage was a total of 30 hours, 24 minutes long. - 166 girls will be part of the trial, so I assume that's how many he targeted. - Video footage was found of him masterbating to the footage. - He made online anonymous accounts to talk to the girls. - Most material was collected with his work phone. I haven't seen any article refer to him by name, but the entire student body obviously knows and previous students have been informed through friend networks. Most weren't very surprised by it being him. The day the news broke I literally had my best friend (who never went to this school) text me "Do you know a guy called ________?". It might be secret for legal reasons, but everyone knows. I'd say be careful, but there is litterally no way for someone to avoid this if they happen to be in the wrong place.
