I think people have forgotten to practice their philosophy. There is no issue with using an AI tool to create art. It is EXACTLY the same as what humans do just faster. We all reassemble other art and information into our new art. Just because it's faster and makes some people face the realization that they've not been contributing as much to our society as they thought. Art is cool and everyone on some level enjoys it. But will you die without art? No. It is entirely superficial, extra and the cherry on top of our society, not its bedrock. I wholeheartedly look forward to the end result where all these people can finally put their efforts toward the real problems in our society. Easy and fun work might be more appealing, but the hard and perplexing work is still waiting. So stop complaining and trying to convince people a telephone rendering the pony Express obsolete is a bad thing. The world changes and you need to move on and change with it or accept being left behind to die. Why are we even entertaining the idea? So you made the mistake of expecting an income from doing something trivial and now we have to hear you complain that you're not doing enough? Adapt. Be strong, ask for help if you must. Trust me there are plenty of real needs, worthwhile causes and hard work out there. Go get involved where it matters and I guarantee you'll still be able to practice your hobby and even talk to others about how nice it would be to only do your hobby and expect a free ride from society
