As long as a robot or A.I is an product or agent of a corporation , It can never be fully trustworthy as a human being can be. No matter HOW convincing any robot the corporations puts out, they will always be representatives of the CORPORATE entity who OWNS them. This will work against people ever "befriending" these things. They will always be perceived as just some software application the big corporation puts out, lifeless, soul-less.
