Philosopher of technology here. I don’t really try to make strong claims, but I was predicting something like would happen. These AI systems are essentially prediction machines based off of trained data. The elegance found in tailored code that the narrator mentions is something that is achieved, at least partly, through context. Context in this sense is derived from live experience that goes beyond what traditional training data includes. Not to mention the amount of fluff found in the training data is not very helpful to final results. This is why I think AI fundamentally lacks the ability to function in truly original or imaginative ways. Should only be used as a tool, not a replacement.
