I think it is a mix of jealousy and laziness to the ai users that are rude to artists. Just yesterday I had one such case, and it was the same arguement..new technology yada yada. Laughed at my art and called it ugly and uninspirational. Dude, I have got more inspiration in my pinkie than you have in your whole family tree combined. Let me also say that alllll his images was the same 🤣. He probably used the same prompt over and over and over.
So yes, I think they are lazy and jealous of people that have taken time out of their lives to learn something which brought them joy in life. Doesn't matter if you are a "good" artist or not, the point is that you actually make something!
