vibe coding and vibe art don't work not because ai can't create images or code but because average people don't know what they want or how to make it. if i give joe sixpack the most powerful AI image generator on earth and all he can think of is "big truck with skull headlights and hot babe" it's not like anyone is gonna think that's an amazing achievement no matter how well it's rendered. famous artists are famous artists because they're creative and have something to say that isn't just what 99% of humanity can think of off the top of their head. the actual value in "art" is purely based on the person making it, mechanical skill has nothing to do with it and hasn't for decades.
hell even if you had an ai that COULD read your mind and get exactly what you'd envision, most people would STILL just make the most boring surface-level stuff because it takes a lot of effort to come up with interesting unique ideas.
