What's stupid is that it wouldn't even take that much effort to make AI art pretty much impossible to discern.
Generate the image, use it as a reference and trace over it (while correcting problematic details as you spot them) then take care of the inking and coloring.
Bam, something generated by AI that hardly took you as much time as a genuine piece and, if you did it properly, no one will be able to know.
AI artists get caught because they slack off and pick laziness.
