When people say that a new invention (such as AI) will mean people won't have to work so hard and that life will be made so much easier, they are making a fundamental error. Yes, AI will take over a vast proportion of the jobs we all do, but that just means that humans won't get paid for those jobs. So... where are they going to get the money they need to buy the stuff they need to survive? Sure, the owners of the businesses with the AI systems will be getting richer, but eventually they will starve too, because there won't be anyone with the money to buy their stuff. A total disaster.
