My official prediction is that AI will always be untouchable by the masses. They will only allow people who can afford to maintain a "safe AI" in the face of so many rogue AI's. There might be some societal optimization for the masses, but ultimately it will lead to the loss of the majority of human jobs in any case. How this will affect the economy? That's a fun question.
