Most people say things like this but then prefer AI art in blind tests. Virtue signaling and the urge for social validation are the only things that they have in mind.
Artists used to say that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" to justify the value of their low quality slop, but when AI started to take off they ran it back turbo and now "creative process matters" and AI art is trash by the definition even though many people do like it.
