I fully support artists who are upset about their work being used without permission, and I do think AI models should avoid training on copyrighted art unless the artist agrees to it. But what really bothers me is how some people act like using AI at all automatically makes you a thief or a terrible person. If you're not telling the AI to copy someone’s exact style, the results are usually a mix of influences, not a direct copy. It’s not the same as stealing. And the environmental complaints feel overblown too. Yes, AI uses water to cool servers. But so does almost every major tech service. Water is a renewable resource and constantly recycled. Instead of acting like AI is destroying the planet or killing art, we should be talking about real solutions. Things like improving AI training so it doesn't take data from copyrighted work, making things more transparent, and making sure artists have a say in how their work is used. Demonizing AI as a whole is stupid. Not sorry.
