Her MIT thesis on AI bias - Gender Shades - used data sets based only on parliament members in countries with the most representation of women in power. Using bias data set to prove AI bias is a bit strange to me. So I'm not sure if her research actually reached enough of a consensus to suggest its legitimacy. Its hard to find peer reviewed evaluations on it and she doesn't give more explanation here.
