"Once you have people's data, it is very easy to manipulate them". YES, this is one of the most dangerous parts of AI. Data privacy is not about wanting to keep your data private, it is about preventing companies from using that data against us to make as much money as possible with no regard for the consequences. We give so much data away with "free" apps or services, awards programs, fitness trackers, etc. Millions of data points. And this data was used to manipulate people long before ChatGPT (not just advertise, *manipulate*). Like a bank knowing it can offer an unaffordable loan to someone that has a wealthy relative, or a pharmaceutical company knowing from changes in behaviour data who might be good targets for advertising anti-depressant medication. With the advent of LLMs like ChatGPT, personal data has become even more precious to companies and can be applied even more dangerously. And AI can be used to collect that data as well, which is part of the reason that every app you use now has an AI feature, weather you want it or not, weather you even know it or not. Data has become the most valuable commodity on the planet, and they will come for it, not matter what.
