AI produces 40% more bugs than humans, for now, so someone has to fix that and even if AI solves all the programming tasks, someone has to assign to AI the tasks, someone has to explain the algorithms, the context, test and install in production. At least for 20 years software developers will still be needed. This AI trend is made just to diminish the role of software developers to decrease their wages, but remember, they still need software developers more than ever.
