We obviously cannot shape the technology. The Internet can be amazingly useful, but then you have social media which is a menace to every aspect of socialization. AI will be no different, except in it's ability to crush civilization. It's only a matter of time. 5 years, 25 years ? Once you let that pandora out, there's no going back.
