I know of four-way intersections where people have been hit and killed while following the rules and the crossing lights, etc. It is crowded, busy, and way too complicated to take a risk of crossing in a busy crosswalk. I don't cross there. I wait and cross where absolutely 'no' vehicles are coming and where it is safe without traffic congestion. It makes me think of Maui where some people crossed barriers to flee the dangerous fires. Safety is more important than following a 'rule.' I'm not someone's little robot. 🇺🇸🦅
