The thing is that in the future, the line might not be so finely drawn. Humans can also draw inspiration and reference from other people's art; our art style is a combination of all the artists we draw inspiration from. It's possible that AI generated art will produce art in the same way, not being so explicit with using images of other people's artwork, but would it still be a copyright violation then?
