Makes me so glad I got into manual work as a young man in 1989. No education. Just went out and painted houses. 36 years later, no regrets. Do mostly handyman stuff now. No AI to fix a broken handrail. Did that yesterday. Resecured 3 handrails for a couple. They were very grateful and paid very well.
I have no kids, but if I did, I would tell them to find something that you can build, fix, install, improve, paint, or wash. Develop handy skills. Do it very well, be on time, and people will throw money at you. Everything else can be done by computers or robots.
