My question is....is there any difference between A.I. versus any previous invention? When telephones were invented we stopped writing letters. When cars, trains, and airplanes were invented people stopped walking and exercising....also it split up families. When television was invented people stopped reading. When video games were invented people stopped engaging with traditional creative games like chess, puzzles, etc...When spell checking/auto fill was invented we stopped learning how to spell. Same with calculators but with math. When social media and smart phones were invented people stopped socializing and started living their lives through a screen. There's too much to even talk about when the internet was invented so I'm gonna skip that one. My point is any sort of new invention typically make our lives easier but as a result will make us dumber bc we don't need to do things ourselves which is the whole point. It will also cause lots of jobs to be eliminated.
There's always plus and minuses when it comes to this stuff, but it's nothing new and it is what it is.
