If only the regulatory powers be would mandate an "light" or (emitter that emits at a wavelength/frequency not in visual spectrum) that is small and discrete and only assigned to and to be fitted to the rear of motorcycles/tricycles. And that "Emitter" MUST be able to be "seen " by all forms autonomous, semiautonomous and pre-collision systems on the road. The receiving hardware/software must be able to determine a distance to that emitter and therefore know that it is a motorcycle, how far away and act accordingly. It would basically be a beacon to specifically identify motorcycles/tricycles, kind of like how some intersections have receivers that identify emergency vehicles and alter traffic lights to let them safely through.. yup they should work on that before its to late for #3.
