Why does a driverless truck need a sleeper cab? But realistically, truck drivers bleeding about losing their jobs are no different to all the people who tended to horses when the motor car came along. Progress happens and the biggest cost to any company is its people. Shed those and you increase profit, for a time. This is predictable and thus gives you time to get into another line of work. But AI is going to reduce that time drastically, so perhaps we all need to get into investing or something.
