Facial Recognition might be useful, but it should not be relied on. After facial recognition, why didn't an actual human look at the pictures? This is a serious failure on the part of lazy policemen and they should be held responsible. He certainly deserves to be paid for his time and inconvience, at a start, probably for bunches more, if only to make the police to pay attention in the future.
