I just want to point out that the luddites AIbros like to refer too as a shorthand for technophobe were very much not a bunch of dumb peasants that broke machines because they were afraid of progress. They were people that very rightfully saw industrialisation and automatisation as tools for the rich and powerful to get rid of skilled workers and further opress and exploit lower class folks. Of course they were quickly missrepresented and turned to ridicule by those people in power who saw them, again rightfully, as a threat. I'll let you have a look at working conditions during the industrialisation and be the judge regarding whether the luddite's predictions were right
