It is hard to get a entry-level dev job because you will compete with graduates that didn't get a job a year before and this accumulates over time.
If people move to blue-collar jobs, It's even more sad because these jobs haven't seen a raise in years.
Technocrats and business leaders shouldn't only pay attention on their own gain because if AI were to replace jobs then people will not have any money to buy there products/services.
Unless everything becomes free but resources are limited so there would be limitations on consumption. Otherwise, resources on Earth will deplete exponentially fast and products can no longer be made. No more iphones for y'all (good).
