ChatGPT are bots not advanced AI. Remember pre generative. They mix and match dialogues. They don’t think they use algorithms.
These AIs won’t replace us completely. While the art bot seems to doing well since it has lot of references but law and medicine is subjective. (each case is unique and very unpredictable) plus it requires thousands if not millions of generations to get it where it is now.
The reason AIs companies not saying much about this because of investors. Research requires funding and the united state who were the major contributors of scientific funding has been reducing the science funding.
For an apt replacement we need somewhat or semi or completely sentient AI.
These current AIs benefit us completely as tools even the art one. Just look at stable diffusion. The user has to put so much input to get a preferable result.
