I have to say when you were discussing the ableism of saying people with physical impairments can't make art I immediately thought they can make something with their feet. Art is less about how it's made and more about what it's trying to say. Whether it's someone's appreciation for a character, a political message, or even a joke.
Generative AI cannot express these things. It can make a sad cat holding an empty wallet but it doesn't mean it has a message. It has done the bare minimum of putting a cat and the expression sad with an empty wallet and filling in the space with a background that would be approximately appropriate.
