I'm a programmer and also an artist, I don't post any arts online (at least, not in public), bc I know the large social media company will just steal it. Majority of those AI bros probably doesn't really know anything about the technology, and the only thing they want it's money or fame, and they're not mind gaining it in unethical ways. AI can never kill artists, bc as long as ppl drawing for fun exists (like this weirdo, me), artists will forever exist. Not all AI are bad, like AI generated subtitles for ppl to read in real time, it's fantastic, but generate pictures in the disguise of hand crafting arts, it's not good at all.
I think only ppl has zero talent, never getting praised by any reason are the ones defending AI companies, and they are really just so lazy.
But at least lots of artists are sane enough, but programmers are embracing AI. The future is either we all lose our jobs (including those AI scientists hahaha, I'm petty), or our job got so secured bc ppl become the stupidest form after using AI for their life. Our we got taken over by AI, maybe that's the best.
