I am sorry for being political for a second but I believe this mindset kinda stems from this Ayn Rand like "Some people are special and some are not" exceptionalism mindset thas has been planted in most societies. You know the sane thing as "Some are born rulers (CEOs, politicians, leaders have some inherent greatness that made into that position) and others are born to be ruled (cubicle workers, low level employees etc. are just born to do these jobs)", this great man myth that some humans just have different abilities by nature that others cannot achieve. And like yea if I believed that bullshit I too would think I could never create art that looks good and thus why even try to do art - I am already so and so old. I would probably believe AI art is liberating too, because I wouldn't believe that I could ever create something on my own due to predetermined destiny The thing is, it's bullshit - I have struggled to become an artist, I draw and draw, I fail, I succeed, I fail again. People who say I am a naturally good artist haven't seen the piles of unfinished drawing, my shame-drawer with all the cursed artworks, the hours I poured into getting things right. There is nothing exceptional about me, there is no blue blood or inherent artistic ability, everybody can do it. Some will struggle more than others, some will improve enormously over a year, others need more time to get there. But I strongly believe everybody CAN get there
