I enjoyed the continually remaking of dune and children of dude. However, I did recently read the entire saga from beginning to end. These two that they keep remaking but in the middle of the saga. Think the entire thing is something like 34,000 years long. It starts off with the omnipresence, a single centralized AI that to say got out of control would be an understatement. It also has a reemergence near the end of the saga. Be abandonment of the technology in doing is because of a superintelligent AI that tried and almost wiped out humanity.
