I have a strong hunch that not all important decisions in life provide a rational decision process. The important elements of human wisdom are not derived from some algorithm.
They are derived from experience. From acting on our hunches maybe. From doing the best we can, muddling through a world that is obscure, unclear, and not perfectly delineated by the light of reason.
Do not discard wisdom in the pursuit of knowledge. Not all that is worth knowing can be found in logic or reason.
