Misleading title. Be better.
CHATGPT didn’t fail here. The lawyer did. It’s a great research tool and can definitely be of assistance when writing legal documents. But you have to check the work and know what you are doing.
People who are failing with these tools are acting like they’re not tools.
Using them wrong is like hiring a fresh college graduate with no expertise in your subject to do something for you and telling them that they MUST produce something and that asking for clarification is forbidden.
And they’ve been trained by lay-persons who just give it reward based on the *appearance* of the output from that lay-person’s perspective.
