I discuss this point with AI reasoning models in depth. It came down to this vision is unsustainable. The financial system would be uprooted with no need for money due to less paid work. At the same time if AGI did arrive here in 10 - 15 years at the earliest it would govern and those that posed the most threat to pulling the plug as a metaphor would be considered a threat to its government. AGI would govern with a soft hand and reward those that do its bidding. Those with less could be safer in this system (easier to govern) . Where those with more influence not as much. Either way it's not a good direction to run to.
