One consideration I would like to share concerns how Yampolskiy fails to account, in my opinion, for resource finiteness. From energy to raw materials, the amount of resources needed to build billions of AI-based robots far surpasses the planetary boundaries. Building that kind of technology will not be compatible with the very existence of the human species as it is now.
