Just a thought on "AI art vs Modern Art". While the first banana taped to a wall is arguably art, if you now nail salami to a wall and call it art I doubt anyone would agree. Now compare to the recent hype for AI action figures. The piles and piles of them generated by everyone definitely aren't art, but what about the very first one? Sure the creator didn't draw a single line, but neither did Maurizio Cattelan create the banana or the duct tape. The appealing novel idea behind "Comedian" is what supposedly makes it art, but "Turn literally anyone into an action figure" was a novel and appealing idea too, and I wonder which of the two was harder to come up with. Depending on how you look at it, the only real difference might be that Comedian sold for big bucks, while the original AI Action Figure got buried in the pile it created and we'll never know the author. Your thoughts and opinions are welcome.
