One of the current true applications of AI is sadly surveillance. They will tell us that it will make our lives easier or that it will eventually kill us, but in the state that it is in right now, someone still has to be behind the wheel, telling it what to do, and unfortunately it is telling the AI to spy on us. There was a time when I used to not care about being watched by the government or whoever, becuase I knew there were too many people for them to properly keep an eye on. Unfortunately it's becoming far easier for them to do mass surveillance and control. I mean, how better to control millions or billions of people than to have robots do it?
