AI is a tool for artists, not a cop out for people with no skill. It can be beneficial in creating "rough draft" images to either build up on or to use as inspiration for an original piece. The thing that pisses me off about people who are wholly against AI in any case is the fact that you don't hear the same thing about 3D scanning vs traditional modeling, and that people claim it's "stealing" art by using art that people decided to upload to the internet to conceptualize new ideas based on their color schemes, composition, etc. Guess what? Literally every artist in existence does that too, its called using references, which for some reason isn't stealing when a flesh and blood human does it, but when a machine does it for some reason its a fucking travesty. I dislike when people try to pass off AI art as true art, but I also can't stand the dunces who can't use their limited brain cell count to understand that it's not stealing unless the prompter generates a ripoff of someone else's image 1-1, but lets be honest, if they are doing that, they were going to do it anyway by throwing some shoddy ass filters over it and pretending they made it.
